Commentariat

I should mention, since it's likely to get lost in the crush of today's totally-uncharacteristic heavy posting, that there has been a lot of Informed Comment Action on yesterday's post about unlawful combatancy. The principals are a law student, a former Army interrogator, and me. I suppose I could describe myself as a historian, but maybe it's wiser to quote from my Gulliver's Travels post earlier, and describe myself as "curious and conceited in Matters where [I] have least Concern, and for which [I am] least adapted either by Study or Nature."
