Of course Speaker Pelosi violated the Logan Act by engaging in private diplomacy with Syria. And of course nobody is going to prosecute her. Sandy Berger was let off the hook for unspeakable violations of national security. Likewise, Britain won't react to Iran's rapid-fire string of acts of war.

If you can forgive me for even admitting my awareness of the ongoing primary campaign, it's all an argument for Giuliani, the man behind New York's 'broken windows' method of policing. Which is not to say I'm a Rudy backer. Just that I think he may be the guy to get senior politicians and foreign powers to toe the line.
