Till all success be nobleness

Scott Johnson at Power Line made the point that the third verse of "America the Beautiful" is especially beautiful today.

O beautiful for heroes proved
In liberating strife,
Who more than self their country loved
And mercy more than life!
America! America!
May God thy gold refine
Till all success
Be nobleness
And every gain divine!

Now if only we can get people singing this mighty song, we can stop dragging out the dreadful "God Bless America."
