Why, oh why, oh why, oh why, oh why, oh why, oh why, oh why dosen't the syndicate re-publish the old strips in the paper in the original order? The weird timing of Schultz's retirement and death seemed like an unambiguous message from God to run strip #1 the day after the last original strip, and get an even century out of them! He did exactly fifty years worth of strips! The early ones are so exquisite too! Did the philistines think the masses would be thrown into ontological shock by the reintroduction of the non-anthropomorphic Snoopy? Damn their eyes!
