Just a little edgy

I'm beginning to worry, frankly. The UK is speeding headlong into a very nasty situation, with national ID cards in the planning, and a government hellbent on selling sovereignty to Europe, without even a mess of pottage in exchange. Canada may soon define opposition to homosexuality as a hate crime, making the promotion of traditional religious values a serious crime. How long will there be any bastion of liberty on this Earth? There once was a time that people, fleeing persecution, flocked to America, Canada, and Australia. How long will those places remain a safe haven? 100 years? 50? I fear the answer is less. Things are looking bad for liberty in the long term.
