Sheik Ahmed Yassin was the founder and leader of a terrorist group that has killed hundreds of Israeli men, women, and children, in suicide bombings. Reports say the Palestinians are threatening dire revenge. Fine by me. They killed the head of Hamas, as nasty a gang of Gadiantons as you're every likely to see. Osama, Hussein, Yassin, Arafat. All terrorists and murderers, engaged in a war against the West. They say they'll retaliate? I don't see how 'retaliation' wuld be any different from what they're already doing. They're already intentionally blowing up innocent women and children. What more can you do? Start eating the bodies?
It brings to mind what Audie Murphy said. "Remember, they can kill you, but they can't eat you. That's against the law!"
UPDATE: After further reflection, I thought I should put up an observation, not from a political, but from a religious point of view. Hamas is threatening to "bring death to every house in Israel" in retaliation? I would refer you to the 12th chapter of Exodus to learn about death in every house. I would not trifle with the Lord's covenant people. No matter how long the Intafada goes on, no matter how long Reuters insists on calling muderers-in-cold-blood 'militants', the Lord will defend Israel in the end.
